Hadith: Prayer & Zakat Obligation
From Ibn 'Umar Allah Shallallahu'alaihi radhiallahuanhuma real blessings and peace:
I am commanded to fight against people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish prayer, pay the obligatory alms. If they do that then their blood and treasure would be protected unless the rights of Islam and their calculation is in Allah Subhanahu wata'ala.(Reported by Bukhari and Muslim)
Explanation:
This hadith is practically experienced times of the Caliphate of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, a number of people back there who disbelieve. So Abu Bakr was determined to fight them including those who refused to pay zakat. Then Umar ibn Khottob rebuked him, saying: "How are you going to fight against those who say La ilaha illa while the Prophet has said: I ordered ... .. (like the above hadith)." Then Abu Bakr said: "Verily, zakat is a property right," until finally Umar accept and go with him to fight them.
Lessons contained in the Hadith / ??????? ? ?????? :
